About Hunter Sargent

Hi there! Meet the lawyer who protects legacies with wills, trusts, and business planning. Hunter Sargent proudly opened Hunter Sargent, PLLC in his hometown of Denton, Texas in 2021. As a proud seventh generation Dentonite, Hunter is dedicated to providing superior estate and business planning services to his community. Hunter left Denton to earn professional acclaim at the University of Oklahoma and then Texas A&M University School of Law. Even before he was licensed to practice law, Hunter knew he wanted to focus on estate planning to give his clients peace of mind without blindsiding them with a $50 phone call or $100 email. Hunter returned to Denton in 2014 to practice law as a civil and business litigation attorney, then spent three years practicing estate planning, probate, and business planning while dabbling in family law. The following years Hunter spent focused entirely on estate planning and business planning. Currently, Hunter manages the firm’s operations and client relationships to ensure a personal approach to each client’s estate and business planning needs. His real-world experience in family dynamics, business disputes, and estate planning challenges gives Hunter an abundance of experience, wisdom, and skill in planning for legacies of all sizes and circumstances. Hunter enjoys spending quality time with his family when he isn’t gardening, learning a new hobby, or woodworking on his back porch. He is a father to two energetic daughters who love to hear about their dad’s passion for helping people. Hunter is licensed to practice law in all Courts of the State of Texas, the United States District Court, Eastern District of Texas, and the United States Bankruptcy Court, Eastern District of Texas. Hunter is a proud Eagle Scout and a graduate of the 34th class of Leadership Denton.
